Begin with Learn to Skate

The Learn to Skate session is a 30-minute weekly session that is designed to get your child comfortable being on the ice. This session includes lots of games, activities and props. Certified professional coaches are asssited by trained volunteer Program Assistants.

 

For Skaters: 3+ with minimal or no experience being on the ice

 

Improve Skills with CanSkate

Helping children develop skating skills for recreational use or before advancing to Hockey, Ringette, or Figure Skating. Emphasis is put on Agility, Balance and Control (the ABC's). Certified professional coaches are assisted by trained volunteer Program Assistants.  

 

For Skaters: 3+ with some familiarity with being on the ice

 

Figure Skate with StarSkate

Learn to figure skate in our Skills, Tests, Achievement, and Recognition (STARSkate Program). Group/Private and Semi-Private/Private lessons are available with NCCP and Skate Canada Certified Professional Coaches.

 

For Skaters who have completed the CanSkate Program
(or equivelent skill set can be demonstrated)

 

Special Needs Program with Special Olympics

This program is run during the StarSkate session and is taught by NCCP, Special Olympic and Skate Canada Certified Professional Coaches. Skaters have the opportunity to be involved in talent shows, carnival and competitions if they desire. Please contact us for more information or if you are interested in registering yourself or a skater.

Learn to Skate with Adult Lessons

Special arrangments can be made with the club and the club coaches to have private/semi-private or group lessons with a Skate Canada and NCCP certified coach. This is ideal for adults and young adults that would like to learn how to skate but don't want to learn on our Canskate sessions with children. Please contact us to inquire.
